Islington Plumbing and Food Crawl
Welcome back! This week we’re in the London postcode of N1. We’re always in Islington plumbing. It’s a great area to work in. However, the problem with this place is that there’s too many restaurants, bars and cafés to choose from, lol. You’re totally spoilt for choice! ?
So, if you’re ready for our Islington food crawl…let’s crawl!
Take a stroll with me, let’s see where we’ll end up first.
Where to Eat Breakfast
Breakfast is at the New London Café, which serves premium organic coffee. It’s has a great retro feel to it and a cosy little garden. The venue is situated near Highbury Corner, so if you live nearby or you’re just visiting, just pop in. There’s usually a mix of locals and a few tourists…it’s the local ‘go to’ place. What’s more, the food is quality, the staff are friendly and the service is superb.
I love the food in here cos it’s so satisfying and never disappoints. It’s like my home away from home! ? Their menu is so diverse, and they even serve brunch and lunch.
Well, I scoffed down a couple of English muffins with grilled bacon and mozzarella, which was super scrumptious by the way. If you’re the healthy type though, you could always go for their organic muesli. It looks more like a work of art if you ask me…with strawberries placed neatly around the edge of the bowl, lol.

Where to Eat Lunch
Let’s move on to Ottolenghi for lunch. It describes itself as a deli and restaurant. The space is quite beautiful and it seats around fifty people. The style of cuisine is an exciting blend of fab Middle Eastern flavours with a nice western twist. There’s little bit of Syrian, Israeli, Turkish, Lebanese, and Armenian.
I opt for the seared English fillet of beef which comes with mustard, horseradish and rocket sour cream. As I’m pretending to be healthy right now, I decided to order some new potatoes, grilled courgette and baby spinach to go with it. I eat absolutely everything. It’s so, so scrummy! My stomach said, ‘cheers mate!’ Lol
Get down there and check it out guys!
