I found MJC Plumbing: through the internet and asked them to repair two leaking toilets and service the boiler. They gave me a two-hour slot so that I wouldn't have to stay in all day and called me half an hour before their arrival to let me know that they were on their way. The workmen were friendly, did a good job, and I would confidently use this firm again. Their rates, compared to firms I have used before, were very reasonable.

Boiler repair (twice!): Excellent work. We found them by going to the boiler manufacturers and getting a list of local approved firms. They were good on the phone and good in person. Came quickly, diagnosed promptly and then went out and got the parts. And then two weeks later the boiler in the upstairs office went and they did it all again but were honest enough to say it was not as big a problem and only needed a smaller, inexpensive part. Job done, no probs. We'd use them again and recommend them to anyone round here in SE1.

Boiler Service/toilet repair: I found MJC Plumbing to be extremely helpful and efficient from my first email enquiry re servicing of a combi-boiler, replacing a faulty heating thermostat and later concerning the repair of a leaking toilet. Emails and queries were responded to quickly. Danny, the plumber, was very friendly and efficient and the overall cost of the job was less than I expected. I will be using their services again and would certainly recommend MJC to family and friends.

Discontinued Toilet Seat Replacement: MJC were extremely helpful in finding a replacement toilet seat for a very uncommon shaped discontinued toilet. They came to fit it within one working day of ordering from their supplier. Their representative was very polite and efficient - the job was done quickly and neatly. They also assured me that had the seat not fitted there would be no charge (despite ordering it in especially for us) and they would continue to search for an alternative.

Boiler Installation Flush etc SE25: By far and away the best experience of my massive Victorian garden flat upgrade. Talked and taken through each stage of the old boiler removal like an intelligent adult, given options on the new one in terms of cost, fuel savings and eco-friendliness, went with the special offer Valliant, which has, to date, performed superbly (and quietly). The guys came out for a first look, spent less than a day putting in the new boiler, took the old one away, cleaned up, and I had a follow up visit the very next day to see that the work was done to the highest standard. All the paperwork - registering guarantee and extended warranty - was done for me, with electronic and paper copies delivered, along with follow up emails to update on progress and check that the boiler was performing to standard, and whether I have any questions about its operation. Simply impeccable service - and I say impeccable with both happy surprise and gratitude after some truly lousy contractors being in and out of the property in recent months - and also close to a thousand pounds cheaper that British Gas and N Power. As you can imagine, I've been recommending MJC to my friends, particularly in this current economic climate.
